Heya, I was pretty experienced when I made that it was one of my first projects. So there was a ton of things I did wrong as far as coding goes it was a very messy project. I had to abandon it for these reasons but I might game back to it one day and start from scratch.

Recently, I rarely do reviews on itch.io in text form, but I did more of them, but since this video is a full review, I will briefly describe my impressions - it was really cool. For both demo and indie horror (correct me if I'm wrong) it's damn good. I love horror in the style of the 80s and 90s, and that theme is very intriguing. The presence of albeit simple, but still riddles is also extremely cool, I love this. Well, the plot is also very good, it supports its own style. But there are 2 big minuses - for some reason my lighting lags (maybe there are problems with the video card, I don’t know), and there are no saves here - only between chapters, which is sad. But, I think, in the full version, where there will be a full-fledged plot and a lot of chips, all this will be fixed,as well as a bit of optimization. So yes, I really liked this game, I will look forward to its release on Steam and the full version)

The save system already exists in the game it just hasn't been utilized for the Demo because of its length. I am curious about the light lagging for you perhaps you can go a little more in-depth about it. I haven't seen anyone else run into that issue so it's definitely something I would like to fix if I can. It looks like it's flickering in the video you made. It might be a video card problem not 100% sure. It sure is strange though lol. Was it like that in the game or just in the capture?
The lighting flickered specifically in the game itself, this is not a recording artifact. I don't know what it could be related to other than the video card. It was sort of dim enough, except for the moments where there were no dark areas, and it also flickered, yes, which made it pretty hard to see. Of course, my video card is .. terrible, let's say, but I have problems with lighting of this kind I didn’t see it) Only in old games, but there it was solved by some console commands, but here I don’t know yet. And yes, thanks for the answer about saving, I talked about it for the most part because of the moment with the escape from Teddy, because there you can get confused (especially with my lighting) and die, because of which you have to start the whole chapter again, which is quite long. Well, I didn’t seem to notice any more problems, the optimization of the game is good. Maybe, of course, sometimes the trigger zone of the interaction buttons (on F) is small, because of which you can skip the desired item, but they are highlighted at the moment, so I don’t think this is a problem
This demo is an absolute must-play for any indie horror enthusiast. The pixel graphics, animation, music + story is S-Tier and I'm super excited for the full release.
