Massacre At The Mirage

Very interesting game! we can experience working in cinema with various POV, the atmosphere is also tense. Hope I can play the full release... :)

From one killer clown tl the other, after Terror at Oakheart I had to try Massacre at the Mirage. 

Let me say, I immediately love a lot of things about it, particularly the theater setting itself. The slasher movie posters, the Halloween decorations, all of it is great and a perfect slasher location. Like I keep saying int he video, I just wanna live there. And it's a nice touch to get to play as each character getting killed instead of exclusively getting a scare by finding their corpses. 

That said, knowing this is a demo, there is definitely some polishing to do. At the moment, blood looks more like jello, there's some awkward transitions to moments of action, and the voice acting is, while entertaining, overblown enough to kind of Lilly he vibe a little. 

ONE thing I'd like to see is a bit more life and variation with the customers in the actual ticket sales bit of it. Just a slight bit of variation to their lines and personalities would make it a bit less monotonous and not feel like it drags like it kind of does at the moment. 

Massacre at the Mirage is still shaping up to be a roaring good time though, and I'm super excited to to see the rest of it! 

This was an awesome demo! I wasn't expecting the quality, great graphics, voice acting is fun and the music is perfect. I enjoyed the crazy clown jester killer, he was funny and spooky! Very slasher movie. Here is my gameplay video!

Flipping between characters is a great touch, as you learn the layout of the cinema with Nika, and then get some dread with the hobo. Switching things up a notch with serving customers tickets and snacks is a great way to immerse the player into the world and there's some great costumes to see in the process! As every great demo should, this leaves you wanting more for the final product and I can't wait to see the full game shine in all its glory. Well done TaintedPact Games, you've got yourselves a modern day indie horror classic in the works here...

Pros:

• Great VO acting - immersing you into the world of the Mirage with the different characters. Attention to detail with the film posters and day-to-day jobs within working at a movie theatre is a nice touch. Hopefully we'll get more mechanics like that in the final game. 
• Truly imaginative 80's horror nostalgia, with an antagonistic jester that seems to be stalking the victims. This guy made me think of Art the clown from the Terrifier films...wonder if we'll need to avoid/fight this guy and how that will turn out.
• WHISKERS!!!

Cons:

• Not a con as such, but maybe an area that could be improved: when serving the customers as Billy I think you could do a mini version of 'Papers, please' where you get to decide who is admitted to the Mirage based on age/drunkenness/oddball behaviour, etc. Similarly, Nika should have to restock the foodstuff or have a time limit to serve the customers to increase the level of tension for this section.
• Why you gotta do Eric dirty like that? 

Had a blast playing this and will definitely be doing a full playthrough when Massacre At The Mirage is released. Nice work!
