Really cool game. Love the design of the theater. I do think you should add some ambiance inside the theater, maybe some chill music inside and some more sinister music outside.
I LOVED THIS. Top to bottom. Fun Narrative. Super Campy. Working the Snack Bar was good fun. Not knowing what I'd see when swapping characters was great. Scares were predictable but still a joy to see. I just wish working the Box Office had a bit more to it (Maybe counting change or something, just give it a little more of something) and the optimization needs work (I was having a lot of frame drops on my 3060Ti and my settings weren't exactly maxed out).

As far as optimization goes the games textures/lights/mesh and cull distance are all optimized the reason you probably got reduced frame rates is the setting "Global Illumination" is defaulted to "Low" but any setting higher than "High" is going to significantly impact performance. This setting controls Unreal 5's new Lumen lighting system which is still pretty experimental. It is a new way of lighting scenes that I thought I would give players the option to use if they have higher-end computers. I might just fall back on baked lighting for the full release though.
What a well made demo, loved what the game had to offer so far and the multiple playable characters seems like it will be a lot of fun, can't wait for the full release.

amazing game. a few of the voice actors were kinda weird. but the first character you play as has a really good talent for it. Other than that the pacing and story building with everything is fun, including the addition of working between 2 different employees to handle different tasks while you know there is a killer. it gives tension and fun to complete your tasks

I'd honestly play the snack bar/box office as a full game if given the chance. The posters around the theater were very cool as well! Great uses of colour, composition, really cute/funny premises. From one killer clown tl the other, after Terror at Oakheart I had to try Massacre at the Mirage.
Let me say, I immediately love a lot of things about it, particularly the theater setting itself. The slasher movie posters, the Halloween decorations, all of it is great and a perfect slasher location. Like I keep saying int he video, I just wanna live there. And it's a nice touch to get to play as each character getting killed instead of exclusively getting a scare by finding their corpses.
That said, knowing this is a demo, there is definitely some polishing to do. At the moment, blood looks more like jello, there's some awkward transitions to moments of action, and the voice acting is, while entertaining, overblown enough to kind of Lilly he vibe a little.
ONE thing I'd like to see is a bit more life and variation with the customers in the actual ticket sales bit of it. Just a slight bit of variation to their lines and personalities would make it a bit less monotonous and not feel like it drags like it kind of does at the moment.
Massacre at the Mirage is still shaping up to be a roaring good time though, and I'm super excited to to see the rest of it!

This was an awesome demo! I wasn't expecting the quality, great graphics, voice acting is fun and the music is perfect. I enjoyed the crazy clown jester killer, he was funny and spooky! Very slasher movie. Here is my gameplay video!
A great premise, with 80's nostalgic atmosphere, characters that you care about (even in the short space of time within the demo) and some great mechanics to boot.
Flipping between characters is a great touch, as you learn the layout of the cinema with Nika, and then get some dread with the hobo. Switching things up a notch with serving customers tickets and snacks is a great way to immerse the player into the world and there's some great costumes to see in the process! As every great demo should, this leaves you wanting more for the final product and I can't wait to see the full game shine in all its glory. Well done TaintedPact Games, you've got yourselves a modern day indie horror classic in the works here...
Pros:
Great VO acting - immersing you into the world of the Mirage with the different characters. Attention to detail with the film posters and day-to-day jobs within working at a movie theatre is a nice touch. Hopefully we'll get more mechanics like that in the final game.
Truly imaginative 80's horror nostalgia, with an antagonistic jester that seems to be stalking the victims. This guy made me think of Art the clown from the Terrifier films...wonder if we'll need to avoid/fight this guy and how that will turn out.

Cons:
Not a con as such, but maybe an area that could be improved: when serving the customers as Billy I think you could do a mini version of 'Papers, please' where you get to decide who is admitted to the Mirage based on age/drunkenness/oddball behaviour, etc. Similarly, Nika should have to restock the foodstuff or have a time limit to serve the customers to increase the level of tension for this section.

Had a blast playing this and will definitely be doing a full playthrough when Massacre At The Mirage is released. Nice work!
